No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I was looking for a durrable work shoe that I could wear while being on my feet most of the day. I have no doubt that this shoe is plenty durrable, but it is VERY uncumfortable. Eventually I needed to wear it with bandages on my feet. I figured I would need to break it in, like I did my military boots, but this was much worse. It is not worth the purchase and was one of the worst 50+ dollars I have wasted.
